About Us

Wellington Chamber Music is a registered charitable trust dedicated to presenting concerts by the best of New Zealand’s established and emerging chamber musicians.

Established in 1945, the Trust presents Sunday Concerts, an annual subscription series of six to eight concerts. In 2014 a series of seven concerts will be held at St Andrew’s on the Terrace.

As well as supporting New Zealand musicians through its Sunday Concerts series Wellington Chamber Music:

• supports New Zealand composers of chamber music by commissioning new works and programming New Zealand composed works

• provides opportunities, with the support of Radio New Zealand Concert, for the recording and broadcast of many of its Sunday Concerts

• assists Chamber Music New Zealand with the annual Chamber Music Competition for secondary schools in the Wellington region.

Donating to the Trust

The Wellington Chamber Music Trust is approved for charitable tax exemption. Donations made to the Trust qualify for a tax rebate, up to the maximum allowed by Inland Revenue. Please email us for details of how to make a donation.

Wellington Chamber Music Trustees and Volunteers

All of the activities of the Wellington Chamber Music are arranged by its trustees and a group of volunteers.
