Lưu Hồng Quang (solo piano)

Vietnamese-Australian pianist Luu Hong Quang has won prizes in several international piano competitions, including winning the Lev Vlassenko Competition in Brisbane. His recent recording of the Liszt Transcendental Études released by Rattle has received widespread acclaim. His recent performances include recitals across New Zealand, Australia, Vietnam, China, Hungary, and Austria, and orchestral appearances with the Queensland Symphony, Royal Philharmonic, and Metropolitan Orchestra of Australia. Luu is currently based in Wellington where he is pursuing his DMA degree under Associate Professor Jian Liu at Victoria University.

He will present a programme featuring Liszt late period original works and transcriptions. Full details will be provided soon.

This artist replaces the Duo Enharmonics two piano programme which is unable to be performed.

How to buy tickets:

Single tickets are $40, or $10 for those under 26. A school child attending with an adult who has purchased a full-price ticket is free.
