| Trio Amistad was formed to explore the possibilities of an unusual combination of instruments: flute, saxophone and guitar. Simon Brew has a Masters in Music in classical saxophone and has performed with major orchestras and ensembles in The Netherlands as well as with the NZSO. Flautist Rebecca Steel has worked extensively with orchestras in London, Sydney and New Zealand, as well as in recital and chamber music programmes. Prizewinning classical guitarist Jane Curry has a Doctorate in Musical Arts from the University of Arizona and has performed widely overseas.
