
| Winner of the Christchurch Junior Concerto Competition (2002) and the New Zealand National Concerto Competition (2007), dazzling young pianist and composer Tony Chen Lin attained his Bachelor of Music with 1st Class Honours in Piano Performance and Composition at the University of Canterbury (2009) and completed his Master of Music at the Hochschule für Musik in Freiburg, Germany in 2013. As part of his graduation concerts, Tony formed his own chamber orchestra to perform, as well as conduct, a Mozart piano concerto from the piano. Recent highlights include performances of Bartók’s First Piano Concerto in Freiburg and an appearance in the Rising Stars! Festival (2015), where he performed as soloist with the Stuttgart State Orchestra.
