Sunday 18 August - Morton Trio (French horn, violin, piano)

Morton Trio (French horn, violin, piano)

Formed in 2017, the Melbourne-based Morton Trio comprises emerging Kiwi professionals. Arna (violin) & Alexander (French horn) Morton hail from Christchurch, and Liam Wooding (piano) from Whanganui. All three have been good friends for years. Their special bond imbues their performances with sensitivity and sizzle. This programme brims with lush works that explore the rich sonorities made possible when the customary cello in a trio is replaced by a French horn.
